I tried to connect to one server and it's worked!!!

IP of this server is 46.137.8.60 --type in Gore SE and click JOIN!!!!!

Only one problem is now---automatic server browser doesn't work, you can connect ONLY manually!

BUT I working on it!

Masaq' did find solution for Gore Special Edition!!! Server-browser can work....no can, but IS WORKING!!!

Just install my patch with edited files from Masaq's tips!

i told ya, joel is not willing to help at all. so if auto update goes off we're screwed! also if it runs out of keys then we're screwed again : D
it works like an mmo, needs internet and auto update working to run!

on the other hand retail runs like an old game, doesnt need online or shity auto updates to run we have 2000 keys which are more than enough : D
and uses an old gamespy protocol which as we see so far makes it work officially : D
retail works better even on new windows. and has less bugs. acro made se playable lol it was a pain in the ass getting se to work on my vista pc back on 2008. but retail always worked! se also had many problems with some routers... retail never for me!

and its a better game lol

You can just rename the auto uploader into gore.exe and the game starts also, even without internet.
This trick works in all Windows OS, so also on Vista.
Everything Gore related I made via my notebook running Vista on it... So its not a pain in the *ss to install stuff there... :p

For me GoreSE has more value, I started to play SE before Retail, allways liked it more...
They finetuned the engine so you can add more stuff, like we did with Peaky Pounder, Patriotz and lots of other stuff.
We also tranfered the full Retail to SE and it worked perfect, with the 3th person view.
In Retailversion we can not add our mods and some maps are full with "wallbugs"...
In SE version all these bugs are away...
Also sad for gr family, all their maps gone (mob stakeout, camp, ...)
But 1 game is still better then no game

btw: I see 3 servers up and running via the link you posted, so its not down??

but all this trying to get people to retail and forget about se...

its stupid telling them again to switch even now that many of them prefer retail! lets have se running too. we might see other people playing it and have 2 gores alive : D

But where the hell will people get Retail? As SE is free...
And who visits Goreland? It not enough to make the game alive again...
The only people that visit and download are people that know about this, new people will fast click away...

I know that we can hack the .exe file and change the serverip...
So we can have Retail and SE on the same one, when people start retail or se they will see all servers from retail and se...

And maybe a serverviewer button on the desktop, included in the game installers....

Via SE is the only way to attract new players, as people find out about this game every week, not like retail. That game is allready dead years ago...

retail is Free on goreland. its where people go to find it and there are thousands of keys...
same way i can ask, where people are gonna find the SE patch?

of course gore is not as it was years ago but still its fine compared to other old and much more famous games...
you can always find 2-3 people to play but its mostly above 10 people on tact Server same time that SE servers had people

Did you contacted krijak allready about the new patch?
He can easily add this stuff...

And cool to hear that people find their way to Gore!
There is also a download page here where Gore US is posted with all official patches, but I think the keys are allready in use, so if you have more, post them somewhere in a new topic.

well... its 2000 keys and gore Community is around 200 people or so lol dunno maybe its more or maybe old people will come back as scorpion did yesterday and there are those that dont play much or so : D

retail had the best mods....SE engine is not! finetuned...in SE there was never a real retail mod!...since that is impossible with this finetuned...!!! engine......no matter if the numbers are the same in ur mod or crack or hax ..whatever!!!!....
u use the wrong unfixed alpha or beta maps... sometimes u even confuse ur own ..mods...and even after i proove it in game u refuse it

yeah or we could built 2 mcdonalds and 2 burgerkings combined in each other.... side by side ... and adding each other and free adds are available to buy also.....
