OK I'm ready to try to install Gore Retail on my Windows 8 again, I can't find all the link I need and what order I need to install them in etc. Some help old friends?

Tictac go to WSW server,... full download + patches 1.48 + 1.50 ^^ and all maps

Gore installers

Order of installation:
1. goredemo 1.47
2. gorepatch 1.48 (gorebonuspack)
3. gorepatch 1.49 (clientpatch)
4. gorepatch 1.50 (19 october 2004)

5. start the game and enter a cd-key
6. kill all the bastards

If you have this m.dll error again, then install it first at any older windows system and then copy it to win8.
Or use a windows virtual machine to install.

Tried both ways, still did the error message. I am putting my Asus with Windows 8 away for a little while. I have bought a new HP with Windows 7 installed on it, should arrive today. I will try with the new HP and let you know. If it works I want to play in the friendly US meeting coming. I will have to practice a little though.

OK, it runs fine on my new pc with windows 7 but I don't see any servers.

For some reason every one of the map download links stops in the middle. I let them download all night while I slept and none of them were more than halfway done. Same thing happens when I do it one at a time. I know it's not my internet or speed.



Is there any other place to download the maps?

erm if WSW and POPZ's links dont work... so give us any good uploader to make us try it again

When I try to download the maps, It only takes about 17seconds to complete download.
Works with Mozilla Firefox.

Ya, that's what I'm using too. I will try and disable my anti virus and firewall and see if that works.

the first pack gets stuck at 1 minute 20 seconds, 2.9 of 24.7 remaining.

The second one and 4Dunrealsed worked.

Gr family maps worked.

Other US Gore maps doesn't work either.

Kenny can you make sure the first link Fcpack 1 works for you?

Yes, we tested them all.
It toke about 20 sec to download fcpack1.

I wonder if more people have this problem that you have.

I think I have all the maps but now my textures are all messed. Also, will the peaky pounder packs for SE work in retail?

Peaky Pounder and Patriots Pack don't work for Gore US.
I know Gore US is a pain in the "ss to install
